Well done and thank you!
What a race. Over 400 brave souls tackled either the 5 or 10km course and you all should be immensely proud. We had runners out there tackling their 10th Hilly and some taking on their first 5 or 10km race; you started with a good one!
We are still working through the final sums but we are confident that we will have raised in the region of £11,000 for the school.
The initial feedback from runners, spectators and volunteers and has been overwhelmingly positive. It is always our intention to put on the best race we possibly can and if there is anything you think we can do to improve upon that then we would love to hear from you – email@example.com
Our good friend of the race Barry Cornelius from Oxon Races has taken over 1000 photos from the day. They can be found here Oxon Races – Frieth Hilly 2017 They are free to download but if you do use them on public sites please give him the credit.
So from all of the committee at the Frieth Hilly – thank you and see you next year!
The 10k is open to runners age 15+ and the 5k is open to age 11+. The 10k lives up to its name ‘Hilly’ and is an idea route for those that may have already taken part in a few 10k races and are now ready for the challenge of a few hills too!
Just remember what goes up must come down!
The 5k is certainly a flatter route, and was enjoyed by many school / junior club runners last year. It is an ideal first 5k race, or for those that are not quite brave enough to take on the challenge of the 10k hills just yet… maybe next year?
For further information on the courses, please visit the Route page.
Whichever course you choose to take, please bring along your friends and family to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a great morning out!
All profits from the run go directly to the PTA Frieth CEC School This year we will be focusing our further spending on the children’s IT Suite and the purchase of new sports equipment
